California Vehicle Registration Instructions

Cartagz.com strives to make your California DMV vehicle registration and titling experience fast and easy.  Following these simple steps will ensure that your California vehicle registration renewal request will be fulfilled in a timely fashion.  If at any time you need help, please use our live help feature found in the “contact us” tab.  Live help services are available Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm PST.

 

Step One:  Have Cartagz Retrieve Your DMV Fee Information:

On our home page; click on “Register Now”.  Complete the form and click next.  After a few moments, your vehicle’s DMV registration fees will be calculated and appear on the screen.

 

Step Two:  Pay DMV Fees:

Once your DMV fees have been calculated, click “Proceed to Checkout” and simply fill in your name, billing and shipping address, shipping option and credit card information.  Acknowledge that you have read and agree to our terms of use and Click “Finish – Process Credit Card”.

 

Due to the sensitivity of these documents, you may wish to select next day or second day delivery.

 

Your transaction will now be processed with the California DMV and your order will be shipped to the address you specify within one business day.

  

Step Three:  Fax or Upload Required Items:

If the California DMV requires any documents or verification, you will be notified by e-mail and US Mail.  If this is the case, you can provide the item(s) by fax, e-mail or simply upload to our site.

 

Order Complete!

Cartagz completes your transaction with the DMV and ships your order.  You will also receive a confirmation e-mail.

 

 

 

Please Note:  The DMV fees calculated are valid only for the current date of our response.  Cartagz is not responsible for additional penalties or other requirements if you do not pay your fees nor provide all required items on the date of the fee calculation.  Cartagz is not responsible for any DMV penalties or shipping delays due to circumstances beyond our control.  All payments and requests submitted after 5:00pm M-F will be processed the following business day.

 

Provided that full payment has been successfully authorized M-F before 5:00pm Pacific Time, and you have provided at least one of the required DMV registration documents, we will either post your fees with the DMV and ship your validated registration card and sticker or, we will set and post your fees with the DMV as a Report of Deposit of Fees (RDF) to avoid further DMV penalties.

 

If in the event the DMV requires additional items, such as proof of automobile liability insurance or a smog test.  You will be notified by e-mail.  If the additional required item(s) are not received by Cartagz prior to 5:00pm Pacific Time of the date of your payment authorization, Cartagz may ship your DMV Report of Deposit of Fees (RDF) indicating the items required to obtain a valid registration card & sticker.  Once you can provide the additional required items, you may complete your registration with us, any DMV field office or registration service.  Cartagz is not responsible for any additional fees or penalties assessed by the DMV while your vehicle is in RDF status.
